I haven't been that productive in a while
Last year, in terms of writing, I ended up taking a long pause during the summer. I only went back to writing for the NaNo and needless to say that it was such a pain in the ass I thought I wouldn't make it (that plus starting a week late) XD The same happened this year. However! I've been inspired by—surprise!—Doctor Who, a tiny tiny detail actually. When Eleven meet Clara in the Bells of Saint John, she's 24. When Strax makes her physical examination in Deep Breath, he says she's 27. We don't know when the scene at Clara's time period takes place but generally it mirrors our time, so I assuming her original time period is 2014 right now. Plot is to show the progression of the events happening in her original time period vs. what's happening while she's time travelling with the Doctor (and Jack) and how she got three years wrapped in one. And what's pretty cool is that it fits the prompt "River" on who_contest. I just need to make it work in a few words, that'll be the main difficulty. Otherwise, I've already got everything and a draft to work with.

Also, I finally went back to proper precious alone-gaming. Succeeded in stopping myself from putting Mass Effect Multiplayer again and work at a game I've yet to finish (a lot). Went to Fallout 3 and discovered I hadn't touched it in a whole year. Played something like 3 or 4 hours straight and somehow, I stayed focused on the main quest... Something I've got a hard time to do with Bethesda games. Like with Skyrim, counting my two main games, I must have over 500 hours, done thousands of quests but still didn't finish neither of the two main quests XD And I could play forever, without being bored, and not touch them. It's the same for Oblivion and Morrowind. As of now, the only Bethesda game the main quest I've finished is Fallout: New Vegas.

I finished Mass Effect: Revelation, finally! Well, taking some time off to read help, which I haven't properly done for a while. Meaning I can finally read the second part, which I had for over a year.

Made a duck and potatoe pie for tonight's meal. I was aiming for some Duck parmentier at first, then I discovered my mother had finished the crème fraîche and I was too lazy to make the puree myself so I settled on making pie XD It wasn't bad but, sadly, the pepper bag slipped from my fingers and my mouth was on fire (and I don't like when food is hot) at each bite, though my parents loved it (but then, gasy people usually love spicy food). Anyway, at least, the 2 hours-long preparation was worth it and I've got leftovers for tomorrow's lunch.

Last and completely the least, I found the motivation to move my arse to do some groceries; supermarket is less than five minutes away, that's the extent of my laziness.

A lot of tiny victories today, which make it a big Productive day and I'm in such a good mood right now, hence a new happy icon.

And on these words, off to bed now!

PS: Awesome Mix is even cooler when you're happy: it so makes happiness go through mitosis for the sake of my metaphor, we're going to say that happiness is like cells. Anyway, I haven't slept yet, please don't mind me making no sense XD

Quite possibly the first time that the word "mitosis" has ever meant anything positive in my mind, lol; had one hell of a time learning the diffs between that and meiosis back in high school. ^.^ Anyway, yay for Awesome, generally. ♥

Yay for getting inspired! Ohhh, that's a great point about Clara's age! Sounds really challenging to get that wrapped up in so few words, best of luck to you! :D

Yay for gaming and cooking and all the productivity! :D Good for you! *hugs*

Hahaha, love your weird metaphors :D ♥

Yay, I was pretty impressed and satisfied with myself, being able to do all of that and feeling like I forced myself. Made me feel really good (but then, going back to reading/gaming always feels so good, like meeting an old friend again).
