Thank Gods,
I was so nervous about that: it's the middle of summer so I wasn't sure the room would still be available since the hostel is next to Eccleston Square and a few minutes walk to Victoria station and it's really cheap compared to the other hostels I've checked. But the thing that really made me anxious was much more trivial; I've got a really bad case of phone call anxiety when I've got to call strangers. Which for reasons, I had to do in order to book the room. On the top of that, last I time I had to make a call in English was back in February and it didn't go well.

Long short story: my father had made a reservation because he wouldn't listen to my mother when she told him we'd sleeping at her zawiya (that's where her religious stuff happened and almost all participants slept there). So we had to cancel the reservation and the employee was being a pain in the ass. She ended up phoning her boss and told me to speak to him. Aaaaaaand the sound quality was awful. Really really awful. So awful I didn't even catch one word of what he was saying so I just told him "I'm sorry, I can't think of anything to say" because that's a pretty generic sentence that works in quite a lot of situation and also, we just wanted to get the hell out of there because my mother was beginning to panic and the other guy who was with us was about to completely lose it.

So I was anxious about failing to understand anything again. But it went so smoothly, even when my father was speaking to me in the same time. The only a bit awkward part was when I had to tell him the credit card numbers because I suck at numbers XD Also, I might have let some French slip in but it's mostly because, I'm used to say "okay, d'accord" (that means "okay, right") so the "d'accord" went automatically out XD

Conclusion: I fucking did it!

Hostel and train tickets are booked now! So, I'll be there from the 22th to August, 19. Geeeeeeeez, feeling so damn great right now!

Yeah, phone conversations just make me want to burry myself. And people also tend to think I'm still a child (just when I speak French though, I've got a lower and deeper voice in English xD)

I can send you all postcards! It's not like being really there, but I really like to send letters and I wouldn't mind at all *grins*
