Today's lulz brought to you
curtesy of my father and my cousin.

My father's the more failtastic so I'm beginning with it. So, we were dining a bit earlier and I had a tea spoon of mayonnaise on my plate. And got lectured about, I quote, "it's industrial! You eat too much of that: it's accumulating in your body, it begins like that and..." He left his sentence hanging like that, so I don't know what he was trying to convey, but it failed. The only disease I can think of is diabetes since it runs in the family but, sorry, no. Even for diabetics, mayo isn't forbidden.

What the hell. I know it's industrial, thank you. Like most of the food we eat. Also, I don't eat much mayonnaise? Although I like mayonnaise, I buy it maybe thrice or four times a year (and my father refuses to buy it when he does the grocery shop alone) because that's just not my priority (my tea's much more precious XD). I bought the current jar weeks ago and until earlier, when my cousin feasted on mayonnaise and surimi, I had only downed a quarter of the thing. Right now, there's half of the jar left. Yeah, sure, I eat a lot of mayonnaise, right?

Also, apparently, expressing relief that France won't play against Algeria because that would've end up badly here is the first step to becoming racist *facepalms* I don't even. Omg. This is just brilliant. And his counterargument, when I pointed out France's history and recent political situation about French of Maghreb ancestry, was priceless. The closest thing I can pick—still very different, but it should give you an idea on how tense the situation is—is the white/black situation in the US. So, the counterargument was "The US played against Iran and they didn't fight after". Also, I'm being anti-islamist apparently XD

And I'm sure my mother will have to take measure to deal with my anti-islamism. And I should totally tell her I won't cooperate with her and cook pork at home, and disrupt her when she prays or refuse to wait for her to dine (since it's Ramadan and she can't eat until 10pm).

But, really, wow, I learnt so much about myself! And that displays of stupid was quite priceless.

As for my cousin's special brand of lulz, it's much more on the funny and cute side than anything else XD It's just that he's a bit of an airhead and tends to ask really obvious things. So, I was explaining him how ME 3 Multiplayer works. You can pick between 60 characters, each with their own power and you chose how to develop them when they level up (that's the character build I was talking about in last post). The character are divided in 6 groups, their class, which gives you an idea of what kind of power they'll have:

Adepts = biotic (that's space!magic)
Soldiers = weaponry
Engineers = tech (things like hacking robots, creating drones, etc)
Sentinel = biotic + tech
Infiltrator = tech + weaponry (they make great snipers)
Vanguard = biotic + weaponry

And I was just telling him that when he asked me: "but what do engineers spec in?". Omg, dude! XD

PS: Took longer than what I thought it would so I'm gonna do the writing meme later.

Yeah, he made a double combo here. Bonus for time: happened in less than five minutes XD That's a glorious exemple of 'intelligence can get along with ignorance and stupidity pretty well', along with the "I shan't be wrong, you are ignorant and misguided" *chuckles*

Holy shit. The mayonnaise thing is just hilarious… but the France vs. Algeria thing… Goodness. With the snark about your mother especially, it couldn't get much more ridiculous. (Well, when I was expressing the same thought as you did on a forum I was very careful with my wording because I was paranoid people would read it as racism too, but that's not family for god's sake. He's basically telling you "you can't have discussions with me because You Will Be Wrong. Sit, listen and take notes if so inclined.")

Some people just have to find something to criticize, don't they?
