Things got out of hand
You know, when I first began to write for the Doctor/Jack gift exchange at wintercompanion, I was thinking on writing some 2,000~4,000 words one-shot. Nothing fanciful, something funny and mindless (as in where I don't really think much) like my Mass Effect ficlets.

Last post, I said I was 2,000 words into the story and hadn't introduced the required prompt yet. That should have been an indicator of what was about to come. The actual prompt shows up like 4,000+ words into the story and right now, I'm at more than 8,000 words and there's only three days left (but I'd rather finish it today or tomorrow because I need the beta) and I don't know yet what the end will be like.

On the top of that, if Jack is rather easy to write, the Doctor was reluctant and I actually had to re-watch more than a few episodes and have the transcripts open while I write to be sure I keep him IC. And, gods, researches. I've been drowning my time in researches.

Still, even if it doesn't seem like that, I'm enjoying every bit of the writing process (just slightly worried about the deadline). Girlfriend bet to final work would be around 12,000 words and I told her that was a little too stretched. But that was like, 1,000 words ago and I'm starting to think she'll be right.

I'd LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE to read it when it's available <3

I don't know when it'll be posted. You'll just have to check Winter Companion during the month (I can't post it anywhere else during the challenge); the authors will be anonymous in the first time though.

(It's always getting out of hand. The characters never listen XD)
