About workload

As I stepped into a much needed bath (though I find a bit saddening the lack of any fancy lush bath thing), I'm completely aware that my week-end is coming to an end.

And yes, I know it's only Satursday evening and I had a full school-free day yesterday, supposedly dedicated to homework, since we've got periods called 'free access', no teacher but a room left for us and no obligation to come either. And I used the morning to rest (the pleasure to be able to dozz off until 9 o'clock then doing nothing, contrary to what common sense would dictate). Then, I saw Twin (who actually began watching DW and is fully converted *victory dances*, as well as another high school friend who's now in his third year at Paris' Beaux-Arts (that's the most prestigious fine art school here, dates all the way back to Louis XIV). And we went to the Ghibli expo, which was gobsmacking.

And that was included in the ticket price and please ignore my weird face on it, the program's mojo didn't work well on it. Still better than Twin's first attempt (she did hers solo since the three of us couldn't fit on the booth), where she had out her hand on Chihiro's lap and it could quite pedophilic (but then, she had told us she wanted to touch Chihiro on her photo... These words exactly XD got hit when I snickered at how it sounded but well, it looked exactly as it had sounded XD)

And I spent today reading (almost 10 hours in a row, with a pause to clean Gemini's litter). So yeah, it's the end of my week-end and I'll need to get working my ass off as soon as I'm out of the bath because they aren't joking around with the workload. I mean, it's quite impressive the amount of work I've done and just for homework, not real studying. Like look at what we got for that week:

Cinema: A4, draw a scene from a movie/animated movie. Back of the sheet, basic info plus why we chose to draw that scene

History of art: a 5 pages essay on a pic we chose (I definitely didn't miss that XD) To be honest, we don't have the date for that one, but to be on the safe side, I'm gonna do it ASAP.

Visual dvlpt: Choose 2 opposite feelings, make one abstract black & white (shades of grey allowed) for each using composition techniques we studied last week.

Axo: 1) choose one subject (alone against all, rival gangs or victory parade). Make thumbnails, than an A6 a bit more detailed, then a proper A4/A3 (depending on the composition). That's cubes on a grid by the way.
2) A4, make a rough drawing of a grid with a background on it (more cubes and rectangles, and also, arches).

Acrylic: choose 2 pairs of opposite emotions. For each emotions, make a 4-color palette, all of which must be different (like not 4 shades of blue, and think of the color palette they draw from caps on tumblr, that's pretty much it). Then, choose two opposite emotions and draw a tree for each emotion using the palette color.

Observational drawing: A3, drawing of a art-deco, bouillon restaurant. Plus another one with all the researches.

ugh, what a workload, be strong! I like your Cinema assignment, I hope we'll get to see it! (also a little html fail in this post)

(PS: I squee'd a bit at your parenthesis about the bath things because it means you liked the Lush stuff o/)

Don't worry, dearie, it's not as dramatic as it looks/made it sound like. I'd done a whole other post to explain why but LJ-app ate it; it might have been pissed that the title was 'LJ-app is a pain in the ass and this article got nothing to do with it' XD

But basically, in volume this is nothing compared to the 30-pages history of art file I had to do for my bac. A whole school year work: as history of art was my major, I had a writing test and an interview. Files were used for the interview. I did 80% of it during a week-end, at the last moment possible. I didn't sleep but that was quite the funny adventure on my LJ XD (twas mostly me trying to cheer myself up XD).

Main difference is that I wanna do more than good, that'll be the hardest thing to do and what will take time.
